Headed to CHA

Posted in Creatives Unite!, Have you Seen/Heard/Read? on July 21, 2010 by wadevicki

If you are a crafter – you are, aren’t you… you know what CHA is… The Craft & Hobby Association will hold it’s annual summer convention in Chicago. I’ll be attending as a volunteer for Scrapbook Royalty, a California non-profit that specializes in coordinating events for charitable crafters, artists and retailers. Click the link to the right to learn more about SBR. There will be an exciting announcement to come in the next few days regarding SBR. It’s sure to be a super fun trip to Chicago, but tiring both to the body and the mind. Lots of talking and lots of hard work goes into staffing a booth and setting up a “Super Crop”. Looking forward to meeting new artists and friends!

Good Old Books!

What can you do with an old book? Hmmm? Lots of potential for re-purposing a book! Check back and I’ll show you some ideas. Coming soon….

In the meantime, have you seen the award winning documentary¬†“Man on Wire”? It’s the story of Philippe Petit who captured the world’s attention in 1974 when he successfully walked across a high wire between New York’s Twin Towers.¬†Fascinating story and well done documentary!
